Is mike Van Ryn Out For Season?

Ottawa Senators Jerseys, The Toronto Maple Leafs Mike Van Ryn is going to have surgery ending his season and maybe ending his career. Ryn made his announcement this Friday, October 16th, 2009.

The surgery Van Ryn is having done is called a osteotomy which is usually reserved for more elderly patients. It\'s also the same procedure that Steve Yzerman, former Red Wings\' captain underwent in 2002.

A osteotomy is a procedure designed Ottawa Senators Jerseys to realign the knee. Van Ryn is schedule to have the procedure completed October 22nd, 2009. It will be completed by Dr. Robert Litchfield, the same surgeon who performed this procedure on Yzerman.

Typical recovery time for a an osteotomy is 6 months which will end the season for Van Ryn. The real question, is whether or not this will end Van Ryn\'s career? Van Ryn is in the final season of his Contract, but is supposedly interested in resigning Ottawa Senators Jerseys with the Leafs in the off season.
